Research
This 4-week self-directed research project provided opportunity for students to further their practice in the context of Fashion Communication, developing a body of visual and textual, primary and secondary research, informed by their interests and ambitions within the subject, whilst exploring, challenging and contributing their perspective to contemporary fashion debate and practice.
Working remotely, and with lecturer and peer support, students were encouraged to think broadly about their approach to communicating ideas from their research, and innovate with their use of materials and mediums – both physical and digital - in experimenting with, and developing ideas and approaches.
Student responses, led by creative enquiry and exploration, explored subject matter such as mental health, gender identity, sex and death, as well as identity, sexuality and isolation.
